The 2018 Victorian Highland State Show was held in conjunction with the Bendigo Agricultural Show on Saturday 27 October.
Five Victorian breeders/owners exhibited their cattle – Bairnsley, Hillvue, Kardella Ky, Russlyn and Sea Crest, with the ever-intrepid Melissa from MacAnLeister Highlands carrying the baton for South Australia.
The event got underway at 9.00am sharp. This was followed by lunch of Bairnsley snags and burgers, skillfully prepared by Lesley and Hugo. See our facebook album for all the winners and a look behind-the-scenes.
After an afternoon of R&R we convened at the RSL for dinner, after which we returned to the showgrounds for the presentation of the On-farm Challenge awards. Thanks again to judge Richard Sullivan for making the time to come up to Bendigo to provide feedback and present the awards.
